A. C. Collins

A.C. Collins, age 81, of Lily, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Esther Combs Collins; three children, Henry Collins & wife Nancy, Shauna Jackson & husband Mark, Mitchell Collins, all of London, KY; three grandchildren, A.C. Daniel Collins, Haley Collins, Harley Collins; five great grandchildren, River Collins, Ramsey Collins, Ridge Hollin, Laney Hollin, Edynn Duff; five siblings, Bobby Collins & wife Brenise, Eli Collins Jr., J.M. Collins & wife Theresa, Virgil Collins, Loretta Henson & husband Bobby Joe, all of Manchester, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli & Mae Bowling Collins; and by nine siblings, Charlie Collins, Marshal Collins, Roper Collins, Henry Collins, Juanita Eagle, Ruby Michael, Judy Forman, Connie Bernard and Allie Collins.

A.C. Collins was a hardworking and devoted man whose life was defined by his love for his family, his strong work ethic, and the simple things that brought him joy. He worked for many years as a foreman in the coal industry, a career that reflected his dedication, determination, and willingness to work hard.

Outside of his work, A.C. found great enjoyment in farming. He loved being outdoors and working the land, taking pride in the things he could grow and accomplish with his own hands. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he cherished the time he spent reading his Bible and reflecting on his faith.

Above all else, A.C. was a family man. He loved his family dearly and especially treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Those family moments created memories that will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

A.C. will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of farming, his faith, and most of all, the love he had for his family. His passing leaves a place in their hearts that can never be filled, but the memories he created and the love he shared will remain with them always.

A funeral service honoring A.C. Collins will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
