Bettie J. Boggs

Bettie J. Boggs, age 73, of Corbin, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her residence. She leaves two sons, Brian Ellis Boggs and Gregory Keith Boggs both of Corbin, KY; two brothers, Hallie Hubbard Jr. of London, KY; George E. Hubbard of Naples, FL; two grandchildren, Brianna F. Boggs and Haley Boggs; one great-grandchild, Lance Bradford; plus, a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death her husband, Ellis Boggs; her parents, Hallie and Eliza Sulfridge Hubbard; seven siblings, Oscar, JC, JD, Jim and Randal Hubbard, Eva Rader and Estelle Root. Bettie worked for Eli Lily and Company Pharmaceuticals for 24 years, was a nurse at the original Corbin hospital and had attended Carmichael Community Church. Funeral services for Bettie J. Boggs will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Greene officiating, burial will follow in the Brummett Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 31 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
