Bill Vaughn

Bill Vaughn, age 75, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

He leaves behind his daughter, Whitney Vaughn Chesnut & son-in-law, Stanley Chesnut; three grandchildren, Lily Kate Chesnut, Taylor Chesnut, Kelsey Chesnut Hoskins; two great grandchildren, Jude Rider, Jax Hoskins; one brother, Ronnie Vaughn of California; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert P. Vaughn & Lela Mae Hubbard Vaughn; and by three siblings, Bobby Vaughn, Arnold Vaughn, Brad Vaughn.

Bill was a man who found joy in the simple things in life and, most of all, in the people around him. He had a genuine love for others and enjoyed talking with people, getting to know them, and sharing a conversation. His friendly nature and willingness to take the time to connect with others made him someone who was easy to know and remember.

Family was especially important to Bill, and some of his happiest moments were spent with his daughter and son-in-law and his beloved granddaughter, Lily Kate. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with them and treasured the love and memories they shared together. Lily Kate held a special place in his heart, and the time he spent with his granddaughter was a blessing he deeply treasured.

In his younger years, Bill enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He also loved going to the beach, where he could relax and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the water. At home, he enjoyed watching WLJC on television, a simple part of his daily life that brought him comfort and enjoyment.

Bill was a member of Carmichael Community Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love of conversation, his devotion to his family, and the many special moments he shared with those he loved.

A visitation for Bill Vaughn will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. A private burial will follow. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
