Danny Ray Baker

Danny Ray Baker, age 57, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. He leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Victoria (Van Dyke) Baker; four children, Allen Baker, Alisha Cathers & husband Ira Cathers, Daniel Baker, Joni Baker, all of London, KY; three siblings, Patty Hudson & husband Larry of Shelbyville, IN, Cindy Barnhart of Columbus, IN, John Howard Baker of Las Vegas, NV; nine grandchildren, Macey Baker, Mallery Parish, Madison Cathers, James Claro, Michelle Cathers, Alexander Baker, Michael Baker, Bellamy Cornejo, Cooper Baker; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover & Nancy Sutton Howard; and by six siblings, Janie Baker, Barbara Fields, Marvin Baker, Rodger Baker, William Baker & Nancy Myers. Danny Ray Baker was known for his hardworking spirit, kind heart, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. Danny worked as a truck driver, a profession he truly enjoyed and took pride in. He loved the open road and the sense of freedom that came with it. Outside of work, Danny embraced life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending countless hours outdoors doing what he loved. He was also a longtime fan of demolition derbies and never missed the excitement and thrill they brought him. Danny had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed activities that brought laughter and good memories. He loved going to bingo, visiting amusement parks, riding rides, and spending time on go-carts and ATVs. He was a true fan of rock and roll music and never turned down good food shared with family and friends. More than anything, Danny loved the people in his life. His family and friends meant the world to him, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He attended Radiant Church, where he found comfort in faith and fellowship. Danny Ray Baker will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of life, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A funeral service honoring Danny Ray Baker will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Scott Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Shepherd Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Allen Baker, Daniel Baker, David Beck, David Hudson, Dale Hudson, Larry Hudson, Ira Cathers and Darius Huntington. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
