Delores Owens Walker

Delores Owens Walker, age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026.

She leaves behind two children, Cindy Christensen & husband Randy, Lori Deaton & husband Norval, all of London, KY; three grandchildren, Mathew Deaton & wife Ashley, Megan Raper & husband Trevor, Jacob Christensen & wife Lindsey, all of London, KY; four great grandchildren, Abram Walker Deaton, Clay Wesley Deaton, Nash Eli Raper, Liam Hayes Raper; her life-long best friend, Norma Herrell; plus a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Walker; her parents, Clive & Flossie Bell Bolton Owens; and by nine siblings, Henry Owens, Earl Owens, Mac Owens, Bob Owens, Jack Owens, Clive Owens Jr., Jerry Ruth Davidson, Brenda Marsee, Eugene Owens.

Delores was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. She will be remembered for her warm heart, caring nature, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.

Delores was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and the people she loved. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially shopping, traveling, and cooking. She found happiness in making good food for her family and creating memories together, and she always enjoyed having those she loved close by.

Delores shared a special and loving bond with her husband Bobby, who preceded her in death. Their life together was filled with love and cherished memories that she carried in her heart. She also treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and were truly among the greatest blessings of her life.

A woman of faith, Delores was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in London, where her church family and faith were an important part of her life.

Delores leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, family, and treasured memories. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service for Delores Owens Walker will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Ron Rose and John Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Mathew Deaton, Jacob Christensen, Abram Deaton, Joey Herrell, David Herrell and Trevor Raper. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
