Dennis Elza

Dennis Elza, age 72, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nona Carol McClure Elza; three children, David Elza & wife Tonya, Cynthia Mobley & husband Joe, Jessica Stacy & husband Daryl, all of London, KY; three siblings, Vickie Evans and husband Lee, Tommy Elza and wife Jean, Gary Elza; nine grandchildren, Brittany Hoskins & husband Jonathan, Joe Mobley & wife Courtney, Jacob Mobley & Alyssa Anderson, Isaac Stacy, Amber Stacy, Noah Elza, Hannah Elza, Brianna Stacy, Ali Browlee; four great grandkids, Adrianna Hoskins, Remington Hoskins, Nevaeh Mobley, R. J. Mobley, three step-children, Michelle Callahan and husband Billy, Donna Joe Vann, James Hammack and wife April plus a host of other family, friends, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Faye Tompkins Elza; his parents, Hiram & Aline Ward Elza; two children, Lisa Marie Elza, Ricky Wayne Elza; his brother, Ronald Elza. Dennis served his country in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division in the Vietnam War. He loved his family and took special delight in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and father. He attended Slate Lick House of Prayer and was a firm believer in the Lord. Dennis never knew a stranger and could light up a room. He loved to make people laugh. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar if you needed it. He also loved to flea market. Funeral services for Dennis Elza will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Slate Lick House of Prayer in London, Kentucky with Bro. Glenn Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Elza Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the church.
