Donnie Ray Carver

Donnie Ray Carver, age 69, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. He leaves behind his three daughters, Kendra Brooke Carver of Somerset, KY, Kristi Lester of Somerset, KY; Angela Vaughn & husband Gilbert Vaughn of London, KY, his mother, Sally Howard Carver; his ex-wife/significant other, Carolyn Sue DeHart; two siblings, David Carver, Brenda Carver Bishop & husband Mike Bishop, all of Corbin, KY; five grandchildren, Drake Sky Carver, Zachary Payne, Aaron Vaughn, Tyler Vaughn, Haylie Sue Vaughn; six great grandchildren; his nieces, Tonya Williams, Sherry Walters, Chasity Napier; his great nephews, Christopher Hudson, Nicholas Hudson, David Carver Jr, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Carver; and by one brother, Jerry Carver. Donnie worked at the cookie factory for over 15 years. He was a very hardworking man who was dedicated to his work and well-respected by his co-workers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Drake Sky Carver who was his pride and joy. He loved going on vacations with his family to Gatlinburg, TN and Daytona Beach, FL. Donnie was an outdoorsman, who loved nature, mountains, and the beach. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and would often go deer hunting for two weeks at a time. Donnie was a jokester and had a great sense of humor. He was easy-going and got along with everyone. He had a warm soul and was of the Apostolic faith. Funeral services for Donnie Ray Carver will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2022 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. Visitation for family members will begin at 11:00 a.m. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
