Fort Campbell, Kentucky
Gatlin Gunner Jackson Patton, fondly known as Bubbas, Gatween, or Bubba Cita, was a beacon of light, laughter, and love. Born on September 9, 2025, in London, Kentucky, Gatlin was a bundle of joy who enriched the lives of everyone around him with his playful spirit and loving personality.
His infectious giggles, love for kisses, and beautiful brown eyes framed by long lashes could light up any room. Gatlin was very ticklish, and his laughter became the sweetest soundtrack of his home in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was a spirited young boy who loved playing with his siblings and was truly the sweetest baby one could ever meet.
Gatlin was funny, loving, and full of personality even at such a tender age. He was a friendly soul who never met a stranger. He loved watching movies and eating, and Toy Story held a special place in his heart, with Woody being his favorite character.
After meals, Gatlin had a playful little tradition: he would set off an alarm until someone lifted him from his high chair and cleaned him up. This mischievous habit brought smiles and hearty laughter to his family and became one of the many precious memories they will forever cherish.
Gatlin had an immeasurable love for his family and loved nothing more than being held and close to the people he adored. He is survived by his parents, Jack Jackson and Brandy Fields, his adoptive parents, Angel Bowling and Andrew “Sam” Patton, and by his grandparents, Nicole Fields, James Carter Fields, Angela Marie Perkins, Scottie Wayne Patton Jr.
He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Arabella Skye Fields, Alanna Jade Francis, and Guinevere Elizabeth Grace Patton, who were the center of his world, along with his aunts and uncles, Dalton Fields, Alisa Small, Desmaree Cox, James Cox, Gabriel Cox, Cameron Patton & Bentley Perkins.
Gatlin’s precious life touched the hearts of his family in ways that words can never fully express. On September 27, 2026, his family said a heartbreaking goodbye as he passed from this world, leaving behind a lifetime of love and memories despite the short time he was here. Although his days were far too few, every moment with Gatlin was a gift—every giggle, every smile, every kiss, and every loving embrace becoming a treasured memory that his family will carry with them forever. His beautiful brown eyes, infectious laughter, playful spirit, and the countless little things that made him uniquely Gatlin will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
Gatlin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dewey Bowling Jr., and his great-grandparents, Willie Ray Smith and Alma Rosa Smith, and John Perkins and Ann Perkins.
