James Parker

James Parker, age 75, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. He leaves behind four children, James Anthony Parker & wife Annie of London, KY, Randy Lee Parker of Manchester, KY, Trish Minton of London, KY, Michael Southard of Stanford, KY; seven siblings, Trish Sigler & husband Bradley, Eddie Parker & wife Mary Beth, Carol Boggs & husband Randy, Sandy Sizemore & husband Bruce, Christine Sizemore & husband Taylor, Kathy Moore & husband Wayne, Charles Parker; six grandchildren, Chris Parker & wife Kayla, Megan Sutton & husband Chris, Kendra Meade & husband Josh, Tara Minton, Gage Southard, Haley Minton; three great grandchildren, Gunner Parker, Grayson Parker, Logan Sutton; a special sister-in-law, Shelley Parker; plus a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Parker; his parents, Marion Parker & Elvia Hundley Parker; and by two siblings, Bobby Parker & Brent Parker. James was a devoted family man and lover of the great outdoors. He was a man of deep faith, guided by his Pentecostal beliefs, and found joy in the simple yet profound moments of life. James cherished his time in nature, whether exploring the woods, fishing by the water, or simply enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. But above all, his greatest love was for his family. He found immense happiness in attending his great-grandsons’ Smoke baseball games, cheering them on with pride and unwavering support. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. A funeral service honoring James Parker will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Goodlette officiating. Interment will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral hour. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
