James E. Philpot

James E. Philpot, age 82, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his residence. He leaves behind his loving wife, Freda Philpot; eight children, Lois Ann Fuston & husband Howard of London, Frank Bowling & fiancé Sam of London, James Waylon Philpot & wife Miranda of Manchester, Loretta Kristy Philpot & fiancé William of London, Homer Fields & wife Martha of Dayton, Ohio, Edward Fields of Franklin, Ohio, John Fields & wife Dottie, Gerri Ann Philpot of Ohio; five siblings, George Philpot & wife Ruby of London, Dan Philpot & wife Wilma of London, Wilma Hubbard & husband Troy of Manchester, Lela Proffitt & husband Phillip of London, Tom Philpot & wife Diane of London; twelve grandchildren, Jackie Eugene Bowling, Nikki Lee Lovell, Tosha Rose Lovell, Howard Edward Fuston, III, Aria Grace Philpot, Kinsley Faith Philpot; six great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Cora Bowling Philpot; his daughter, Cledith Ruth Sizemore; and his brother, Earl Gene Philpot. James loved to be in church. He played guitar, and loved to play bluegrass music. He loved taking care of his family. He worked as a saw mill operator at Chaney’s Timber for over 10 years. Funeral services for James E. Philpot will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Wayne House and Cecil Benge officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in London. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
