Jamie Walden Doneghy

Jamie Walden Doneghy, age 65, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. She leaves behind her daughter, Nanette Carson & fiancé Josh Murray of London, KY; five grandchildren, Hailee Carson, Jamison Carson, Javon Carson, Dexter Murray, Jalynne Murray; three siblings, Kathern Finley & husband Kenneth of London, KY, Betty Thomas of London, KY, Ella Shanklin & husband Ronnie of Hamilton, OH; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Doneghy; her parents, James & Peggy Jones Walden; and by her sister, Eudella Walden. Jamie was a beloved mother and grandmother, and was a devoted member of Fariston United Baptist Church, where she found joy and solace in her faith. She was a woman of many talents and simple joys. She had a gift for crochet and sewing, creating beautiful, heartfelt pieces for her loved ones. She cherished time spent at church and enjoyed the serenity of long car rides, taking in the beauty of the world around her. Above all, Jamie loved her family deeply, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her. Jamie will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for the joy and love she brought to those around her. A funeral service honoring Jamie Walden Doneghy will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Tony Krahenbuhl and Kenneth Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Norvell Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Jamison Carson, Javon Carson, Michael Anderson, Ronnie Shanklin, James Finley and Isaiah Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Ed House, Shaun Shanklin, Edward Doyle House II and Austin Anderson. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
