Janice Rose French, age 85, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She leaves behind four children, Ethan Tom French & wife Lisa, Nathan French & wife Lucy, Renee Lewis & husband Jeff, Nicky Davenport & husband Jamie; eight grandchildren, Ethan Vaughn & wife Tiffany, Colby French & wife Tiffany, Rachel French & husband William, Nathan French, Dustin Lewis & wife Laura, Tyler Lewis & wife Nancy, Jaron Davenport, Pyper Davenport; ten great grandchildren, Ryder Lewis, Hudson Lewis, Delilah Lewis, Espn Lewis, Indie Lewis, Delaney Vaughn, Cole Vaughn, Lincoln Turner, Harper Turner, Olivia French; plus, a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Dempsey French; her parents, Henry & Marie Cornelius Howard; two siblings, Daphne Gabbard & husband Merle, Franklin Howard & wife Janie; and by two grandchildren, Tiffany Ooten Ball, Brandon French. Janice dedicated 36 years of her life as a skilled surgical technician at Marymount Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her dedication and care. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She found immense joy in creating holiday memories, especially through her famous Christmas candy and cookies. Her hands were never idle, as she poured love into crocheting baby blankets for friends and loved ones, a tradition that brought warmth and comfort to many. Janice's grandchildren were the pride of her life. She was their number one fan and fiercest defender, always present with unwavering support and love. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great fulfillment in attending church and singing alto in the choir, where her voice added harmony and grace to worship. She also had a passion for sports and was a dedicated fan of UK athletics, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on her beloved Wildcats and her grandchildren. Janice's legacy is one of love, faith, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A funeral service honoring Janice Rose French will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Colby French, Tyler Lewis and Jeff Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Ethan Vaughn, Colby French, Nathan French, Dustin Lewis, Tyler Lewis and Jaron Davenport. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandchildren.
