Larry "Moe" Cottongim

Larry “Moe” Cottongim, age 83, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. He leaves behind his wife Elaine Wyatt Cottongim; three children, Larissa Rockwell & husband Kevin, Keith Cottongim & wife Amye, Susan Cassidy & husband Todd, all of London, KY; six grandchildren, Jenna Rockwell & fiancé Nathan Skinner, Adam Rockwell, Lyndsey Cottongim, Walker Cottongim, Brayden Cassidy, Garrett Cassidy; his sister-in-law, Joyce Dotson; plus, a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Maude McCracken Cottongim. Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. A retired truck driver, Larry was well-known for his hardworking spirit and genuine kindness. Larry found joy in life’s simplest pleasures, liked mowing yards and sharing coffee with his old trucking buddies. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, always quick with a joke or a warm smile, and he treasured every moment with his family. A man of deep faith, Larry served as a Deacon and was a devoted member of Fariston United Baptist Church, where he was cherished by his church family. Larry’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the lasting impact he made on everyone he met. A funeral service honoring Larry “Moe” Cottongim will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Denny McCowan and Keith Cottongim officiating. Interment will follow at Reams Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will include Adam Rockwell, Walker Cottongim, Brayden Cassidy, Garrett Cassidy, Nathan Skinner, Kevin Rockwell, Todd Cassidy, Keith Cottongim. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
