Mary Magdeline Rush

Mary Magdeline Rush, age 85, of Austin, Texas and formerly of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She leaves behind five children, Billy Gene Rush & wife Diane of West Alexandria, OH, Bobby Dean Rush of Nortonville, KY, Donald Carl Rush of Detroit, MI, Marshall McKinley “Buck” Rush III & wife Carol of East Bernstadt, KY, and Carolyn Sue Fallin & husband Jeffrey of Austin, TX; eleven grandchildren, Tammy, Joshua, Amanda, Shannon, Tara, Donnie Jr., Joseph, Travis, Susan, Sierra and Samuel; ten great grandchildren, Jeremy, Tanner, Addison, Raeanna, Abigail, Warren, Logan, Gabriella, Kinley and Eli; her grand cat, Mopac; two great grand dogs, Sparkle and Diamond, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Rush Jr.; her parents, Major Prince and Viola Thompson Prince; and her grandson, Billy Jason Rush. Mary previously worked for 15 years as the Deputy Director of OPAC in London, KY. She was a member of the Manchaca United Methodist Church in Manchaca, TX. She loved to serve the Lord by going to church, singing in the choir and serving others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening and working out with friends at the gym. She was a huge fan of yellow roses. She was witty and had a great sense of humor. A graveside service for Mary Magdeline Rush will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Campground Cemetery in London, Kentucky with Bill Rush officiating. Pallbearers will be Buck Rush, Joseph Rush, Samuel Rush, Jeffrey Fallin, Bill Rush, and Bobby Rush. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Fallin and Darryl Jennings. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
