Nancy Louise Dunn (Gibbs) Obituary (1921

Nancy Louise Dunn (Gibbs) went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the age of 99 years, 10 months, and 13 days. She was born on September 27, 1921 to Thomas Payton and Bertha Marie Gibbs. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Dunn; 2 stepsons, Jim and Eddie Dunn; 2 grandsons, Eddie Jr. and Chris Dunn; 5 brothers, Raymond, Adolph known as Sonny, Edd (Mary), Kenneth (Sue), Donald Gibbs; 2 sisters, Sonia Jean Gibbs and Dorothy Mae Trivette; 2 nephews, Douglas and Kenneth Jr. Gibbs; and grandnephew, Timothy Jewell. She is survived by 2 brothers, Norman Glen (Della) and Douglas Wayne (Margie) Gibbs; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Gibbs; a stepdaughter, Lisa Francisco (Aaron); step granddaughter, Amanda Vargo (Andrew); a grandson, Ricky Dunn and a granddaughter, Nancy Jo Tyler; nephews and nieces, Rosemary Spencer, Yevonnie Middleton, Florence Hayes, Barbara (Michael) Jewell, Karen Noble, John Gibbs, Nancy (Jerry) McHargue, Dennis (Jennifer) Gibbs, David (Tammy) Gibbs, Donald (Cindy) Gibbs, Linda (Troy) Laile, Ronald (Monica) Gibbs, Rhonda (Dan) Ford, Robin (Bob) Faulkerth, Tammy (Chad) Frasher, Braxton (Whitney) Gibbs; and numerous grand and great grandnephews and grandnieces as well as many friends and extended family who loved her much and will miss her. She was a member of Eastern Star and White Shrine organizations, and did charitable works all her life. She was an employee of Walmart for many years before her retirement. Funeral services for Nancy Louise Dunn (Gibbs) will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Tommy Tapscott officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John’s Swiss Reform Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the Golden Rule Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star service beginning at 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
