R. G. Fisher

R. G. Fisher, age 87, of London, KY passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home. He leaves behind five children, Bettie Hopper & husband Phil of London, KY, Liddie Nicholson of Louisville, KY, Granville Fisher of London, KY, Carl Fisher Sr. & wife Melba of London, KY, and Gilbert Lee Fisher of London, KY; two siblings, Leonard Fisher of London, KY and Charles Fisher of Marion, IN; six grandchildren, Priscilla Hopper Ridener & husband Mike, Aaron Hopper, Sandra Nicholson Harmon & husband Adam, Heather Fisher Wilson & husband Kevin, Melanie Fisher, and Jolene Fisher Stacy; ten great-grandchildren, Christian Hodge, Jonathan Hodge, Gunnar Jackson, Jayden Jackson, Alabama Jackson, Cody Fisher, Brooklyn Martin, Hayley Asher, Payton Stacy, and Destiny Asher; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lettie Bruner Fisher; his parents, General J. and Lydia Harris Fisher; seven siblings, James Fisher, John D. Fisher, Bill Fisher, Don Fisher, Gilbert E. Fisher, Homer Fisher, and Marinda Gregory; and one grandson, Carl “Bub” Fisher. He was a retired coal miner, farmer, and bakery worker. He was of the Baptist faith. A funeral service for R. G. Fisher will be conducted on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, KY with Gary Riggs and Verrell Root officiating. Burial will follow in the Fisher Cemetery in London, KY. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 13, 2018 after 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
