Rhoda E. Hale

Rhoda E. Hale, age 77, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026.

She leaves behind four children, Sheila Overbey & David, Lonnie Hale & Sally, Donnie Hale & Jennifer, Willis Hale Jr., all of London, KY; four grandchildren, Austin Hale & Stacie, Brittany Williams & Pete, Daniel Smith & Ciara, Olivia Eldridge & Peyton; three great grandchildren, Emmett Hale, Autumn Williams, Cooper Smith; four siblings, Phyllis Prine & Ted of London, KY, Kathy Davies & Bill of Indiana, Darrell Overbey & Sharon of Indiana, Lisa Coslet & Barry of Oregon; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Hale Sr; her parents, George & Shirley Ann Cheek Overbey; and by her great grandson, Gavin Williams.

Rhoda was a loving homemaker whose greatest joy in life was her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she so freely gave to those around her.

Rhoda cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured the simple moments of being together, making memories that will remain in the hearts of her loved ones for years to come. Her family was truly the center of her world, and she found great happiness in watching her children and grandchildren grow.

Rhoda enjoyed the quiet pleasures of everyday life. She liked working puzzle books, taking time to challenge herself and relax, and she took pride in working in her yard. Whether tending to her home or spending time outdoors, she was happiest keeping busy and caring for the things that mattered to her.

Rhoda was also a faithful member of Union United Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. Her love for the Lord and her church family was a source of comfort and strength.

Those who knew Rhoda will remember her not only for the things she enjoyed, but for the love, warmth, and memories she created along the way. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, faith, and devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she made will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A funeral service honoring Rhoda E. Hale will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Roy Hamblin officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Blackwater, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
