Roberta Nicholson Straub

Roberta Nicholson Straub, age 85, of London, KY passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. She leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Edwin Straub; two children, David Straub & wife Constance Lynn of Newark, CA, and Kathy Gay & husband Randy of London, KY; two brothers, Jerry Nicholson & wife Eva of Richmond, KY and Estill Nicholson & wife Brenda of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Ruth Nicholson; five grandchildren, Paul Stewart & wife Pat, Chad Stewart & wife Renee, Wes Straub, Elise Roberta Straub & husband David Keirle, Chuck Straub; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Paizley, Austin, Avery, Aiden, plus a host of other friends and family to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Maude Allen Nicholson; two brothers, Allen Eugene Nicholson and Robert Nicholson. She was a retired nurse’s aide having worked in obstetrics at Marymount Hospital. She loved working with all of the newborn babies. Funeral services for Roberta Nicholson Straub will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Charlie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Swiss Reform Cemetery in East Bernstadt, KY. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
