Rose Lee Mooney

Rose Lee Mooney age 90, of London, KY passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She leaves behind five children, Ann Lee Smith & husband Wheeler of Simpsonville, SC, James Glenn Mooney Jr. & wife Debra R. of London, KY, David Lynn Mooney & wife Joyce of Richmond, KY, Paul Joseph (Joe) Mooney of East Bernstadt, KY, Laura Katherine Barber & husband Jerry of Panama City Beach, FL; one brother, Charles Patterson of Eaton, OH; twelve grandchildren, Robyn L. Cumby, Caroline L. Kosal, Laura A. Alexander, Monica L. Agee, James Glenn Mooney III, Myra B. Derrington, Kris L. Mooney, Amy J. Hammock, Lindsey A. Mooney, Dana M. Weiss, Ashley R. Seaman, Heather N. Olson; a special friend, Wanda McQueen, plus a host of family and friends to mourn her passing. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Glenn Mooney; her parents, Charlie Patterson & Katherine (Kate) Bennett Patterson; seven siblings, John Patterson, Bill Patterson, Peggy Robinson, Fannie Huff, Mary King, Josie Patterson, Roscoe Patterson; and one daughter-in-law, Vivian Mooney wife of Joe Mooney. Rose raised three sons & two daughters and a congregation of other children as a babysitter for over 30 years. She arguably made the best macaroni salad and coleslaw in the state of Kentucky. Funeral services for Rose Lee Mooney will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Daryl King officiating. Burial will follow at the Weaver Baptist Church Cemetery in London, KY. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15, 2019 beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
