Rufus L. Harrison

Rufus L. Harrison, 84, of East Bernstadt, KY passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence. He leaves behind his wife Phyllis Vance Harrison; his daughter, Katrina Harrison Gray & husband Johnny of East Bernstadt, KY; five siblings, Irene Gumm of East Bernstadt, KY, Bill Harrison & wife Jewell of East Bernstadt, KY, Virginia Wattenbarger & husband Don of London, KY, Betty Hopewell of Lexington, KY, Jim Harrison of London, KY; five grandchildren, Brooke Asher, Casey Weddle, Karli Werner, Terianne Hensley, Tyler Gray; ten great-grandchildren, Elijah Hammons, Duke Weddle, Gabriella Hammons, Tyson Bruce, Parker Hensley, Mashia Werner, Kingston Allen, Alaska Hensley, Isaiah Parsley, and one on the way, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Oma Greene Harrison. He was a Department of Motor Vehicle examiner and a dispatch for the Kentucky State Police for over 29 years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of the East Bernstadt Methodist Church. A memorial service for Rufus L. Harrison will be conducted on Monday, June 25, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, KY with Dale Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 25, 2018 after 12:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
