Sammie Ray Gregory

Sammie Ray Gregory, age 74 of London, KY, husband of Barbara Ewing Gregory, passed away on Sunday, September 25 at his residence. Along with his loving wife of 47 years, he leaves behind three children, Teresa Wagers of London, KY, Rick Gregory and wife Winona of Florence, KY, Elizabeth Lester and husband Kevin of Shepherdsville, KY; six siblings, Julia Jones of London, KY, Cora Goins of Texas, Ruby Goins of Louisville, KY, Lucy Goins of Louisville, KY, James Gregory of London, KY, Denford Gregory of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren, Marisa Arthur and husband Jonathon, Victoria Wagers and fiancé Aaron Boggs, Catherine Wagers, Justin Gregory and wife Angel, Whitley Gregory, Caitlin Adams, Megan Gregory, Brandon Lester, Samantha Tate and husband Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Raeleigh, Mallory, Kendall, Riley, Noah and Remi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Anne Gregory; six siblings, Vasco Gregory, Oak Gregory, Steve Gregory, Edie Mae Gregory, Delia Hatfield, Geneva Carpenter and son-in-law, Letcher Wagers. He was a farmer, of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services for Sammie Ray Gregory will be conducted on Thursday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Tip Minton officiating. Burial will follow in the Riley Gregory Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, also at the funeral home.
