Tevis Gilbert

Tevis Gilbert, age 78, of London, KY, widow of J.B. Gilbert, passed away on Friday, January 5th, at her residence. She leaves behind three children, Dinah Duff and husband James of London, J.B. Gilbert and wife Rena of Barbourville, and William Gilbert and wife Marsha of London; three siblings, Danny Gilbert, Arthur Gilbert, Delores Kurpis; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Felix & Pauline Gilbert; two children Felix & Halah Gilbert and five siblings, Kathy Minton, Angline Wagers, Earl Gilbert, Arnold Gilbert and Elizabeth Roberts. She was a former dietary aid at Marymount Hospital and a member of Blackwater United Baptist Church. Funeral services for Tevis Gilbert will be conducted on Tuesday, January 9th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Gilbert Family Cemetery in Tedders Creek (Knox County). The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, also at the funeral home.
