Thelma Combs, age 73, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

A dedicated and loving soul, Thelma was born on July 14, 1953, in the charming town of Harlan, Kentucky. Her resilient spirit and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Thelma found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was savoring a cold Pepsi, cherishing time with her beloved dog Tootie, or attending church with unwavering faith. Her commitment to family was unparalleled, and she embraced her role as a guiding light with the utmost devotion. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart." This sentiment encapsulates the essence of Thelma's life and the love she shared with those around her.

Thelma's legacy lives on through her cherished family. She is survived by her sons, Roy Combs & wife Dayla, Tim Combs, and Homer Combs Jr., as well as her grandchildren, Abbie, Tanner, Bradley, Cierra "Sissy", Jayla, Ryder, and Parker Combs, were the pride and joy of her life. Thelma also shared a special bond with her nephew, Nick Combs. Each of them carries forward the lessons of kindness, resilience, and love that she imparted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Nannie Combs, her stepfather, Eugene Ward; her sister, Audrey Farley, and her brother, Ralph Combs. Thelma's enduring strength and compassion continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we gather to celebrate her life at the graveside service on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:00 am EDT at Dunn Cemetery in London, Kentucky, with Roy Adams officiating. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
