Tilman Taylor

Tilman Taylor, age 86, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Flora Weaver Taylor; three children, Judy Hawks & husband Mark of Port Orange, FL, Joy Ackerman & husband Bill of Orlando, FL, and David Taylor & wife Julie of London, KY; two siblings, Peggy Henson of London, KY and Estill Taylor of Corbin, KY; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his little dog Tilly, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ira Taylor and Stella Amburgey Taylor; three siblings, Albert Taylor, Judy Tuggle, and Meryle Taylor; and by his grandson, Joshua Hawks. Tilman was a self-employed residential builder for 25 years and built and managed rental properties over the last 20 years. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Tilman had a huge heart and gave to various charities over his lifetime. Funeral services for Tilman Taylor will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Mike Burns and Larry O’Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Amburgey Rose Garden Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
