Verda Hale

Verda Hale, age 83, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She leaves behind two children, Richard Hale and wife Lou of London, KY, Eddie Hale and wife Charlette of Lebanon, TN; her sister, Janie Hendrix of Valparaiso, IN; her granddaughter, Misty Wainscott and husband Joe of Richmond, KY; her great grandson, Brandon Wainscott of Richmond, KY, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hale; her parents, William Gilbert and Nellie Nantz Cobb; three siblings, William Gilbert, Ann Zborowski and husband Ted, Jo Connaway and husband Lester; and her brother-in-law, Robert Hendrix. Verda was a homemaker and a member of Blackwater Baptist Church. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and quilting with her church family. Funeral services for Verda Hale will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Marty Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Joe Wainscott, Brandon Wainscott, Ernie Perry, Nathan Perry, Donnie Hale, Taylor Bowling and Bradley Smith. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 29, 2021 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home.
