Walter P. Lewis

Walter P. Lewis, age 86, of London, KY passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He leaves behind his wife, Marie Lewis; two children, Jeff Lewis and Tim Lewis both of London, KY; one sister, Linda Adams of London, KY; two grandchildren, Sarah Conley, Timothy D. Lewis; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Moore, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Ottie Lewis; five siblings, Joe Lewis, Alvin Lewis, Danny Lewis, Warren Lewis, Wayne Lewis. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from U. S. Steel where he worked for more than 20 years. A graveside service for Walter P. Lewis will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, KY with John Bill Keck officiating. Military honors will be provided by the local DAV chapter 158, Keavy, KY. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
